3.6-magnitude earthquake strikes Hermosa Beach area, USGS says

A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Hermosa Beach area Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake hit just offshore at around 8:40 a.m. with its epicenter about 3.7 miles west-southwest of Hermosa Beach at a depth of about 7.4 miles, USGS said.

Some viewers called the 7 newsroom to report the shaking and the USGS says they received more than 100 reports from people who felt it, especially those right along the coast.

No injuries or damages were immediately reported.
