CRENSHAW, LOS ANGELES () — Thousands will gather for a day of unity and celebration as 7 presents LA’s Official MLK Jr. Day Parade.
The parade is produced by Bakewell Media and the Los Angeles Sentinel.
Nearly 150 colorful floats, marching bands, drumlines, dancers and performers will take over Crenshaw on Jan. 19, celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
7 will broadcast the parade LIVE from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you can watch on TV or anywhere you stream Eyewitness News.
The 2026 parade will be led by actor and comedian Cedric The Entertainer, who was named grand marshal of LA’s Official MLK Jr. Day Parade.
The parade will begin at Western Ave. and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., heading west on MLK Blvd. to Crenshaw Blvd., before heading south toward Vernon Ave., ending at Leimert Park.
Along the three-mile parade route, you’ll find a festival-like atmosphere as revelers of all ages come to enjoy the sights and sounds of this annual celebration.
“Carrying forward Dr. King’s vision of justice, unity, and service, we are proud to steward a tradition that continues to inspire generations. This parade is more than a celebration, it’s a call to uplift our communities and reaffirm our responsibility to one another,” said Danny Bakewell Sr., founder and chairman of Bakewell Media.
