Possible shooting shuts down southbound 405 Freeway in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. () — A possible shooting shut down southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway in Long Beach Tuesday night.

Footage showed the California Highway Patrol investigating the incident on the 405 near Lakewood Boulevard.

One person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to CHP.

Traffic was snarled and some drivers even got out of their cars as authorities carried out their investigation.

It’s unclear when lanes will reopen.
