Pink is sharing a glimpse into how she marked the beginning of 2026 — in a hospital bed.
“I want to say Happy New Year’s to everyone. I am so happy to say goodbye to the snake year and welcome in the horse,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, December 31, alongside a selfie taken from her hospital room. “I am leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025. This year was a doozy for all of us and it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying.”
The 46-year-old singer noted that there was still “so much beauty” to be found in the challenging moments she faced throughout the year.
“And I got to wake up every day and get out of bed and go about my business. The business of loving my children and helping them to follow their dreams. Showing them that life is an adventure or nothing at all. Loving and laughing, cooking and dancing, crying and screaming, forgiving and apologizing, and all the rest of our beautiful messiness. So much beauty in amongst it all,” she continued. “So many more good people in the world than bad. I said goodbye to incredibly important people, and I said hello to new ones. I’ve realized dreams this year, as well as nightmares.”
As she looks ahead to 2026, Pink is “giving reverence to” and “paying attention to” what her body needs.

“It may not be a fancy Face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth,” the musician wrote. “Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport. And as I sit here by myself on New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while my family is happily snowboarding- I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made.”
Pink said she hopes to lead with love in the new year. “I will work this year to help preserve the choices of others to make for themselves and their families and this very pursuit of happiness,” she added. “Let’s do better for ourselves and for others. Let’s not be afraid to take care of ourselves and others. I choose joy and I leave behind the hurt. I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. And I’m going to rage against the dying of the light. I’m going to reclaim my wild. And I’m going to keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness.”
The lengthy message ended on a hopeful note, with Pink writing, “Happy new year and may you experience more joy than sorrow, more sunshine than rain, more love than hatred. Let’s shed that old snake skin. And find our horsepower.”

In an upload of his own, Pink’s husband, Carey Hart, shared a glimpse at how the rest of the family kicked off the new year. Hart, 50, posed alongside daughter Willow, 14, and son Jameson, 9, on a snowy mountain in snowboarding gear.
“So fun getting runs in w/ the kids!” he captioned the pic. “Willz is ripping, and got into some steep powder runs. Jamo is grinding through the early days of snowboard frustration. But made a ton of progress, and has a great attitude about it. Epic time up @mammothmountain 🤘🤘🤘.”

Wednesday’s update is far from the first time Pink has struggled with her health. In 2018, she was forced to cancel several concerts in Australia after being hospitalized for a gastric virus. Two years later, she battled COVID with her son and fractured her ankle. She later opened up about gaining weight during the pandemic shutdown.
“Having breaks is good for my voice. Not so good for the body,” Pink told Variety in 2023. “Especially during COVID — I gained 36 lbs. All I did was make sourdough and then eat the sourdough. And then I had not just the hip surgery but double disc replacement in my neck.”
Pink said she felt like a “bionic woman” after bouncing back — and was ready to hit the road on tour once again. “I’ve lost those 36 pounds, and I am stronger than I’ve ever been in my life,” she added. “And I’m ready to go, and I’m ready to get the hell out of here. I’ve been home way too long.”
