Kentucky authorities have arrested a high school teacher for allegedly sexually assaulting one of her students. Mary “Hanna” Mattingly was arrested in Nelson County on Monday, March 30. The Bardstown Police Department said in a social media post the 31-year-old teacher was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. Fresh data from the IRS shows that Americans’ average tax refunds in the 2026 filing season have risen significantly from last year as the filing deadline approaches.
