Nikki Glaser is spilling the tea on what it was really like babysitting Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann’s kids after his 2026 Golden Globes revelation.
Glaser, 41, told Howard Stern on Tuesday, January 13, that she was “really tickled” when Apatow, 58, presented at the Globes Sunday, January 11, and revealed she was once his daughters’ babysitter.
“It’s such a special moment for me that I started out as his babysitter,” Glaser, who hosted the awards show, explained on Tuesday’s episode of SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show.
She recalled Apatow working on Funny People during her employment, noting that he and wife Mann, 53, “paid well” when she watched their daughters, Maude, now 28, and Iris, now 23.
“This was 2007, I think it was like $35, $40 an hour,” Glaser revealed. “Which was more than I [had] ever been paid to babysit.”
Glaser noted that the job was a breeze because the girls were “so sweet” and “were so funny,” like both of their parents.
Glaser’s favorite memory from working for the director, however, came by accident, when Adam Sandler called the house one evening.
“He was like, ‘Hello.’ I was like, ‘Hi.’ And he was like, ‘Hello, Maude, this is Adam.’ I was like, ‘Oh no, this is the babysitter,’” Glaser recalled.

She said Sandler, 59, didn’t skip a beat, asking her how her “night was going,” which has stayed in her mind.
“It was my first interaction with Adam Sandler and I have loved him ever since,” Glaser shared. “That was the nicest call I’ve ever gotten when I was babysitting.”
Glaser’s babysitting connection to Apatow was one of the many fun moments fans were privy to when watching Sunday’s Golden Globes.
The emcee kicked off the show with a hilarious monologue that ranged from asking George Clooney for tips on how to fix her Nespresso machine to grilling Leonardo DiCaprio about his love life.

“Leonardo DiCaprio is here for One Man Bun After Another,” Glaser said, referring to DiCaprio’s Golden Globes nominated movie One Battle After Another. “How good was Leo in One Battle After Another? It’s insane, so good. What a career you’ve had, countless iconic performances, you’ve worked with ever great director, you’ve won three Golden Globes, an Oscar — most important thing is you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30. I mean, it’s just insane.”
DiCaprio, 51, took the joke in stride amid his current relationship with model Vittoria Ceretti, who is 24-years his junior.
“Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke, it’s cheap,” Glaser said during the awards show, apologizing. “I tried not to, but like we don’t know anything else about you. There’s nothing else, like, open up. I searched [and] the most in-depth interview you’ve ever given was in Teen Beat magazine in 1991. Is your favorite food still, ‘pasta and more pasta?’ Look it up, that’s real.”

DiCaprio nodded his head in agreement before Glaser turned her sights to Michael B. Jordan and the NSFW thoughts she had while watching him in 2025’s Sinners.
Glaser joked that she “couldn’t believe” she got to watch Jordan, 38, play not one, but two brothers in the film, saying, “When I saw that, I was like, ‘Nikki-be-jerkin’ because that was awesome.”
The host laughed before once again apologizing. “I’m sorry, Michael. Why did I make that joke? [You’re here with] your mom. I should not have said that to you,” Glaser continued. “That should have been [in] a DM. My mistake. I love you, you’re amazing.”

While Glaser got lots of laughs for her jokes throughout the broadcast, she later revealed there were a few she decided to cut, including one about Sydney Sweeney in Christy.
“People just aren’t going to the theaters to see things, and if you don’t believe me: There was a movie this year where Sydney Sweeney played a lesbian who just bounced around in tiny shorts for two hours, and it made $14,” Glaser told Stern on Tuesday was her unused joke about the Christy Martin biopic that earned $1.3 million in its opening weekend.
Glaser explained on the radio show that she decided to cut the joke because “the audience just didn’t like it.”
“It just wasn’t killing as hard as all of the other stuff,” she added. “And [Sweeney] wasn’t gonna be there, and it’s a joke you have to do at the top of the show, and it’s like, we’re bringing someone into the show that’s not even here.”
