The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Ngatikaura revealed husband Jordan Ngatikaura blackmailed her over her affair — which came as a surprise to Marciano Brunette.
“It’s not something I was aware of,” Marciano, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly about the revelation Jessi made. “It was news to me.”
Marciano also clarified his recent claim that Jordan, 30, accused them of having a second affair earlier this year, telling Us, “That was in May — right before season 2 was coming out. … I think my brother will be friends with Jordan, but I don’t know about me. Time heals all, so maybe?”
The Vanderpump Villa star acknowledged that he would be “very triggering” for Jordan after Marciano’s emotional affair with Jessi, 33.
“It’s always going to be salt in the wound for him. If he’s willing to overcome it then I think he knows I’m open to it. Because I have told him that he’s a really good dude,” Marciano noted. “At least to me, he’s a really nice guy. I like him a lot.”
He concluded: “So I never say never. I’ve come to terms with it but I hope [we can mend things]. I would really like to because all the DadTok guys are awesome.”
Hulu viewers saw Marciano and Jessi confess to their emotional affair during season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. After the episodes aired in November, Jessi revealed she wasn’t separated from Jordan when he found out about Marciano.
“The reason I left was because we had been dealing with the affair for about six months behind closed doors. No one knew. During those six months, it got worse than it ever had. He was blackmailing me. He was threatening to send my texts out to Marciano to the world,” she claimed on “The Viall Files” podcast, noting that it was addressed on the show but didn’t make the final edit. “Anytime I did anything he didn’t agree with, he had it on his TikTok drafts and he was like, ‘I’m going to post it.’”
Jessi continued: “It was so toxic. I remember the day I left him, it got to a point where he was recording me and he’s taunting me and I was chasing him around the house. We were just screaming at each other. It was so bad.”
Jessi confirmed she was still living with Jordan when her affair with Marciano began.
“When me and Jordan were dealing with this alone, he said to me, ‘If anyone ever finds out, we need to say we were separated because then it’s less of a big deal.’ I remembered Jordan telling me that’s how he wanted me to handle this if anyone found out,” she recalled. “He ended up saying, ‘If this is going to come out, we have to tell the truth.’”
In his own tell-all, Jordan addressed his perspective. “I actually never meant it. It was just to cry for help,” he claimed. “Hurt people, hurt people. I was literally just trying to like, ‘Be sorry for what you did. Be sorry [and] love me. I’m anxious over here. Give me something.’”
Marciano, meanwhile, weighed in on both Jessi and Jordan’s claims about their issues.
“When you’re told something, obviously I was very sympathetic to Jessi. But seeing it is way different,” he told Us. “I think just seeing it all in general, I was like, ‘Oh, now I can really understand what you guys were going through.’ It’s a really difficult situation and it was tough to watch. I felt like I obviously played a huge hand and not making it look good for either of them. Hence why I’ve since said I live with regret by doing that.”
