Man, woman found dead in Porter Ranch home

PORTER RANCH, LOS ANGELES () — A man and woman are dead following a shooting at a home in Porter Ranch overnight, triggering an investigation.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a son discovered his parents suffering from gunshot wounds in the home Monday night.

Officers initially responded to a call for a murder investigation at the home near Como and Modena lanes around 9:20 p.m. Investigators say it appears to be a murder-suicide, but murder has not been ruled out yet.

The deceased were described as a 55-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man. Additional details surrounding the circumstances of their deaths were not available.

Meanwhile, a neighbor said the family who lived in the home was always friendly.

“I am shocked because that family was a very close family… They are very nice people, very nice people.”
