INGLEWOOD, Calif. () — Foo Fighters fans lined up outside the Kia Forum on Sunday morning for a good cause that also scored them some concert tickets.

The legendary band will play a benefit concert next month, and on Sunday, those hoping to attend brought donations for the homeless.

The commitment was real as hundreds of Foo Fighters fans braced the early morning chill for a good cause.

“This is the best of L.A.. We have one of the biggest rock groups in the world saying, ‘We’re going to put on a concert with the proceeds going to end homelessness in our city.’ How great is that?” said Rowan Vansleve, the president of Hope the Mission.

Foo Fighters is joining forces with Hope the Mission and the Los Angeles Mission to raise money for people experiencing homelessness through a donation drive and benefit concert set for Jan. 14.

“Knowing everything the city has been through, from the fires to the constant homelessness, things like that, it’s just good to feel like you’re contributing somehow and just be a part of something bigger than yourself,” said Matt Jacen from Thousand Oaks.

Die-hard fans lined up for hours to give back this holiday season and also get their hands on some concert tickets.

The fans were generous, bringing much-needed donation items like pasta, bagged rice and new socks.

“It’s amazing and all these people showing up early and bringing donations and goods, it’s a cool thing to do,” said Rilee Farney from Long Beach.

“It’s good to know that a band that I personally love, one that I’ve been listening to since I was a kid, they’re doing this for the community. They’re doing this for everyone. It’s a great way to give back,” said Julian Gamboa from Los Angeles.

“Dave Grohl, he’s a great humanitarian; he does so much work. He did it before the age of cellphones, where people could record and put on Instagram like, ‘Look what I’m doing.’ I think he’s a genuine person and I respect what he does,” said Ossie Wilson from Inglewood.
