LAPD officers shoot, injure suspect wanted for assault with deadly weapon in downtown

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES () — Police shot and injured a person suspected of assault with a deadly weapon in downtown Los Angeles Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. near 7th Street and Ceres Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Details about what led up to the shooting were limited, but the suspect was hit and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

No officers were hurt.
