UPDATE — 1/16/26, 10:05 a.m. ET: Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen responded after a picture of his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, wearing Denver Broncos gear went viral.
“Asked Josh about this pic and he told me he had no idea it was floating around,” CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson posted via X on Thursday, January 15. “Laughed and said she was probably paid to be there. And that he definitely wasn’t going to bring it up at home. 😂”
The picture of Steinfeld, 29, wearing a Broncos Starter jacket was taken after Denver defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
It resurfaced this week ahead of the Bills’ NFL Divisional Round playoff showdown with the Broncos on Saturday, January 17.

Long before she became Bills Mafia royalty, Hailee Steinfeld pledged her allegiance to another NFL franchise.
Steinfeld — who is married to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen — posed in a Denver Broncos jacket at Super Bowl 50 in 2016, which saw the Broncos defeat the Carolina Panthers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

“HELL YEAH BRONCOS!!!! 💥” Steinfeld wrote via X at the time.
The nearly decade-old post has resurfaced this week as Allen, 29, and the Bills get set to face the Denver Broncos in the NFL Divisional Round on Saturday, January 17.
“She rooting for her Broncos in her heart, but she repping Bills for her Hubby,” one Denver fan commented on Steinfeld’s post.
Another fan wrote, “Appreciate your support Hailee! Go Broncos.”
In addition to the comments, the post was spammed with photos and videos of Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.
Bills fans found the picture, too, with some demanding Steinfeld, 29, take immediate action.
“You still have time to delete this,” one person commented. Another said, “HAILEE DELETE THIS NOW!!!”

It is not clear why Steinfeld, who was born in southern California, was repping the Broncos at the Super Bowl, but that fandom has taken a backseat since she started dating Allen.
The actress and the NFL star got married in May 2025 and are currently expecting their first baby.
Allen and Steinfeld were thousands of miles apart on Sunday, January 11 when the Bills defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in the NFL Wild Card Round.
Meanwhile, Steinfeld was busy getting ready to walk the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globes, where she showed off her baby bump.
Steinfeld attended the show in support of her movie Sinners, which was nominated for seven awards and took home trophies for Best Original Score – Motion Picture and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
After his team’s victory over the Jaguars, Allen shared a picture of Steinfeld on the red carpet via his Instagram Story, adding drooling and heart-eye emojis.
Allen discussed Steinfeld’s pregnancy with reporters following a win over the New England Patriots on December 14, 2025.
“I’ve known for a long time, right? So it’s not that crazy to me,” he said. “But yeah, I mean, obviously the love that I’ve received from teammates and friends, it’s a really cool special moment in my life. And my wife’s life.”
Steinfeld announced the couple’s big news in her Beau Society newsletter on December 12, 2025.
“As I step into my 29th year as a softer, stronger version of myself, I want to appreciate some of my favorite moments from this year, both big and small,” Steinfeld wrote before listing 29 things she was grateful for. “29. This video…”
Steinfeld was then seen in a clip wearing a sweatshirt that read “mother” with a visible baby bump.
Allen and the Bills travel to Denver to face the Broncos at 4:30 pm ET on Saturday, January 17, with the winner earning a trip to the AFC Championship Game.
