Joe Jonas is not here for fans speculating that the Jonas Brothers are doing specific projects for financial reasons.
“Genuine question, are the Jonas Brothers in serious debt or something,” one fan asked via X on Thursday, December 4, while resharing the official trailer for Camp Rock 3.
Joe, who has been in the band alongside his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas since 2005, replied to the fan shutting down the speculation.
“God forbid connect 3 go back to where connect 3 connected,” Joe, 36, tweeted on Friday, December 5, referring to the iconic line from Kevin’s character in the first movie.
Joe, Kevin, 38, and Nick, 33, are reprising their roles as Connect 3 band members Shane, Jason and Nate Gray, respectively, in the upcoming Disney movie. On top of acting in the project, the brothers will also serve as executive producers alongside Demi Lovato, who starred in the first two movies as Mitchie Torres. (Lovato has not confirmed if she will make an appearance in the upcoming movie.)
In the official Camp Rock 3 trailer, fans got a look at Kevin, Joe and Nick back in character at the fictional summer camp for aspiring musicians.
“Music, friendship, memories,” Nick said in the trailer while Joe replied, “We’re back. Exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
The teaser also revealed that Camp Rock 3 will premiere in summer 2026.
According to the film’s official synopsis, Connect 3 finds themselves “returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing” after they lost the “opening act for a major reunion tour.”
In addition to the Jonas Brothers reprising their roles, Maria Canals-Barrera was confirmed to return as Mitchie’s mother, Connie Torres, who worked as the camp’s chef in the previous movies. Camp Rock 3 also includes new faces as Sherry Cola, Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean were added to the official cast.
Months before Camp Rock 3 was confirmed, Joe accidentally revealed the project was in the works during an August appearance on Hot Ones. During the interview, Joe was asked to read his last Notes app message which he shared was “Read Camp Rock 3.”
Nick had a shocked expression on his face while Kevin laughed nervously before giving Joe the chance to claim he was joking.
“OK, that’s a pretty good one,” Kevin said.
Joe insisted it was “the truth.”
It’s literally right here,” he said before offering his apologies for spilling the beans. “Sorry, Disney.”
Nick, Joe and Kevin filmed Camp Rock 3 while they were on their Greetings From Your Hometown tour. Kevin spoke about what it was like to return for the movie during a November appearance on “The Squeeze” podcast.
“We’re executive producing it, we’re filming it and it’s going to be really cool to pass the baton to a new generation,” he said. “Obviously, we’re in it and a part of it, but these kids are so talented. The way they can dance and perform, they’re, like, lightyears ahead of all of us.”
