HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES () — The countdown to the 2026 Oscars is on!
That means road closures are already in place as crews work to set up the red carpet area outside of the Dolby Theater.
Hollywood Boulevard is closed from Orange Drive to Highland Avenue. That stretch will be blocked off until the morning of March 18, three days after the award show ends.

Additional streets and sidewalks in the area will also be shut down for varying periods leading up to the event. Details of the affected areas can be found online.
In addition, Metro bus routes will be re-routed and subway trains will bypass the Ovation Hollywood station after the last regularly scheduled train on March 14 until the first scheduled train after 6 a.m. on Monday, March 16.
Hollywood’s biggest night is on Sunday, March 15 and will air on 7.
