HOLLYWOOD HILLS, LOS ANGELES () — Police swarmed a Hollywood Hills neighborhood Monday evening after thieves broke into a sprawling mansion, officials said.
Officers responded just before 7:30 p.m. to a home on Rising Glen Road after the homeowners arrived to find the suspects on their property, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
AIR7 video shows a shattered glass door at the back of the large hillside mansion and officers moving through an upstairs bedroom that appeared ransacked.
Police were also seen searching the home’s garage, where a Lamborghini was parked, and a Rolls-Royce sat in the driveway.
The homeowners were pulling into their driveway when they spotted the intruders, according to LAPD. Police said the suspects appeared to be armed.
The homeowners quickly drove away and called 911.
It’s unclear if anything was taken during the break-in.
Officers canvassed the area for surveillance footage that may have captured the burglary crew or a possible getaway car.
Police have not released additional details.
