It’s a different kind of Ice Bucket challenge.
Dunkin’ Donuts has the nation’s java junkies going gaga after trialing a brand new iced “coffee bucket” that holds a whopping third of a gallon of java.
That’s right, each of these beverage bins holds a staggering 48 ounces of Joe — the equivalent of two of their Extra Large options, which was their previous largest size, People reported.
Alas, the shrinkflation-shattering buckets run customers between $8-12, depending on the contents; The bucket can be filled with Iced Coffee, Iced Lattes or Dunkin’ Refreshers or featured flavors like Blueberry Cobbler Iced Latte, Caramel Coco Iced Coffee or Strawberry Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher.
Alas, the supersized drink silos are currently being tested in just two states: New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
According to People, the jumbo jolt to the system can be found at the Dover Road location in Durham, N.H., Concord Road in Lee, N.H., the Dunkin’ inside the University of New Hampshire, as well as the branch on University Drive in Amherst, Mass., while the Foxborough, Mass., location is also slated to join the dry run.
This scarcity has spawned a Willy Wonka-esque gold rush on social media as bean fiends scramble to get their hands on this Holy Grail of grounds.
“We drove 40 minutes and went through a toll for this bucket,” declared a TikTok user named Bella while toting her colossal quarry, obtained at an unspecified Dunkin’.
In another, two coffee hounds can be seen sharing the bucket between them like something out of “Lady and the Tramp.” “Wait, I swear it tastes better in the bucket,” read the caption.
Meanwhile, self-proclaimed “Dunkaholic” Stephanie Boutchie, who goes by @steph_rose_knows on TikTok, told People that she drove an hour and 20 minutes to the Durham Dunkin at 5 a.m. to get this giant java receptacle.
“So good, best idea Dunkin,” fawned the influencer in the clip. She told people that she was “pleasantly surprised” that it wasn’t inundated with ice and mirrored her usual order.
Plus, she said the bucket offered a lot of miles per third-of-a-gallon, declaring, “It lasted me at least 5 hours!”
Best of all, there was no purchase cap during Boutchie’s visit, per the content creator, who noted that the lady behind her ordered five of the freakishly big fuel tanks.
In fact, brew enthusiasts should try and nab a coffee bucket soon.
The New York Times noted that employees at two of New Hampshire’s outlets said Tuesday that they had sold out of the titanic containers with no plans to replenish the supply.
The oversized caffeine container spawned a flurry of reactions among commenters, many of whom dubbed the offering a slam Dunk.
“Bro, I’m in NY. I’m about to visit friends in NH as an excuse,” said one impressed bean counter under Boutchie’s video.
Others said they needed to make the bean bin available in more places.
“We need this is NYC,” declared one Gotham-based commenter, while a Chicagoan lamented, “Why can’t this be in the Chicago land area.”
However, others were less impressed with one naysayer dubbing the container a “a bucket of the world’s most inconsistent coffee.”
“Why would anyone want to drink coffee out of a bucket,” rued another.
Others rued the fact that the veritable coffee keg wouldn’t fit in their cupholder.
