The violent crash happened at the intersection of 7th Street and Termino Avenue when the drive of the reported stolen flatbed truck drove though a red light and rammed the truck into two vehicles.
The suspect then crashed into a paint store, exited the truck and walked way from the crash. Moments later, police tackled the suspect into the ground and arrested him.
An elderly man was pulled out of one of the vehicles involved in the crash and transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
The pursuit began shortly after 3 p.m. in East Los Angeles. The suspect then drove to the 5 Freeway and eventually made his way to the 605 Freeway near Whittier.
The driver then got off the freeway and began to drive recklessly through surface streets, hitting multiple cars.
During multiple times, the suspect drove on the wrong side of the road and hit multiple cars while he tried to squeeze in between them.
