Beach beauty: R&R at the best spots for primping and pampering in sunny South Florida

From a hits-the-spot hammam inspired by the golden age of the Ottoman Empire to a designer fragrance fantasia, here’s a look at five of Miami’s top spas and beauty destinations.

Hürrem Hammam Wellness & Spa | 14652 Biscayne Blvd.

As a self-proclaimed “celebration of Turkish bathing culture,” this marble-bedecked watery world is a shrine to ancient Ottoman Empire beauty secrets like Kese, a deep body scrub with an exfoliating mitt, and Platza, in which fragrant oak leaves are used to lightly whip the skin to stimulate circulation.

In addition to the multiple soaking spots, guests can toggle between fire and ice in two dedicated sauna spaces (Rustic and Herbal) and the igloo-esque Arctic Room and Cold Bucket Showers area.

Follow the umlaut to get the knots out. Hurrem Hammam

And if you’ve worked up an appetite after all that wellness-ing, or are simply in the mood for a rocket-fuel cup of coffee, pop by the on-site Topkapi Restaurant.

Tierra Santa Healing House | 3201 Collins Ave.

Don’t be fooled by the wildly exuberant, South American-flair waiting area of this spa at the Faena Miami Beach. The oceanfront Instagram darling, inspired by hotel owner Alan Faena’s home in Uruguay, features beaucoup shaman-inspired signature treatments.

Faena’s spa is a kaleidoscope of calm. Tierra Santa Healing House

Espíritu Sanador, for example, sends meditative brass bowl sounds and palo santo essence wafting through the air. Another standout service, El Árbol de la Vida, taps into the “Tree of Life” idea with a hot stone massage that weaves in to focus on the body’s trunk.

Feeling a little less woo-woo and a bit more superficial? Book the cheekbone-lifting, collagen-stimulating Buccal Sculpting Facial.

Lapis Spa & Wellness | 4441 Collins Ave.

It’s no surprise why Martha Stewart famously dubbed Lapis “the most beautiful spa in America.”

You don’t know living until you’ve spa-dayed like Martha Stewart. Lapis Spa

Inspired by the famous hammams of Marrakech, steeped in ancient Ayurvedic rituals and anchored by a stunner of an Essence Mineral co-ed indoor lap pool, the massive 40,000-square-foot, 30-treatment-room space still manages to deliver the cozy.

Not that it’s all old-school at this Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel gem; for every Abhyanga Shirodahra oil-drip head massage, there’s a Firming Booty Facial. New this year: the NutriDrip IV Drip Lounge, a dedicated space for a curated menu of IV treatments aimed at boosting hydration, immunity and — natch — beauty.

Dior Beauty | 701 S. Miami Ave.

It’s all about the “fragrance discovery experience” at this positively sparkling new space in Brickell City Centre. Inspired by Christian Dior’s atelier and designed by legendary “nose” and Dior Perfume Creation Director Francis Kurkdjian, it’s centered around what the French couture house dubs La Collection Privée.

No one knows the nose like Dior. Dior

Weaving together fashion and fragrance, the assortment includes such rarefied scents as Ambre Nuit, Rose Star and Bois Talisman, alongside customizable accessories like fragrance trunks, cases and caps. Also on offer? Olfactory favorites like J’adore and Sauvage, plus gleaming selections of makeup and skin care, bien sur.

The Now | 61 NW 26th St.

While the mural by local favorite Chalk & Brush Design Co. helps distinguish the exterior of the Now in the artsy Wynwood section of town, the inside hews closely to the national massage chain’s “exotic beachside destination” core look. Think: exposed beams, natural wood surfaces, sheepskins and rawhide strewn about, and an airy canvas draping lending privacy to therapy spaces.

Don’t wait until later to chillax at the Now. The Now

Guests choose from a menu of three massages (the Now, the Healer and the Stretch) and enhancements like Crystal Hot Stones, Gliding Cupping, Scalp Renewal and Gua Sha.

And with an array of products like Hemp Calm Balm and Refresh Eye Masks, it’s easy to take that spa-aaah feeling back home.
