Ayesha Curry revealed that transitioning from three to four kids has actually been “very easy.”
“I think two to three was a little chaotic for us, and four has been pretty breezy,” Curry, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting her partnership with Command Brand. “We lucked out and we have a very mild-tempered, sweet little baby.”
Ayesha and husband Stephen Curry welcomed son Caius Chai in May. The couple also share daughters Riley, 12, and Ryan, 9, and son Jack, 6.
Ayesha noted that every time she has given birth, it has been a different feeling “every single time.”
“This time for me was a lot easier and then just in light of where we are right now in the world, being able to bring this beautiful life into the world,” she gushed. “I think in and of itself, having that mindset of how grateful and how incredible and miraculous it is, is enough for me to keep me going.”
With the holidays coming up, Ayesha is looking forward to the “togetherness” of the holiday season and spending time with her kids.
“The kids’ activities kind of dwindle down, and so they’re home a lot more, and we’re able to lean into that festive nature of the holidays,” she shared with Us. “Decorations start to go up, stockings go up, our elves arrive and it’s very exciting.”
Ayesha explained that for the past couple of years her and Stephen started a new family tradition during the holidays: recording music.
“We’re going to have family songs,” she explained, noting that her youngest will be cooing on this year’s track. “We started recording a Christmas carol every year and putting it on vinyl. That’s kind of our Christmas card now. And then the stockings going up, we hang them up every year using our Command hooks.”
While Ayesha is busy with her own four kids, she is also godmother to friend Lindsay Lohan’s son Luai, whom she welcomed in July 2023 with husband Bader Shammas.
“I’m a very proud godmother to her son, and we always check in with each other even in the midst of all the chaos,” she explained, noting that Lindsay, 38, is not a godparent to Caius because her and Stephen like to wait until the kids get older. “She’s a super boss lady, and we keep each other motivated in that way.”
In addition to preparing her family for the holidays, Ayesha also partnered with Command Brand to bring to life four holiday decor trends to help holiday lovers get excited about new and inspiring ways to decorate this season.
“I’m just excited to partner [with Command Brand] to shed light on how easy the products are to use [and] how festive you can make this beautiful holiday season [at] home without worrying about damaging it,” Ayesha explained to Us.
Ayesha shared that she worked with the amazing team at Command Brand to “figure out what the people want [this] holiday season.”
“So we came up with insane decor rooms, basically that you could travel down and go into a different world with each room,” she noted. “When it all came together I was like, ‘This is so cool.’ My kids would love this and I can do it all this holiday season and not worry about taking it down after.”
