Abby De La Rosa is opening up about her coparenting relationship with father of 12 Nick Cannon, revealing the way he shows up for their son, Zillion Heir Cannon, after his autism spectrum disorder diagnosis.
“I think we all know that he is a man with many hats,” De La Rosa, 36, exclusively told Us on Saturday, November 7, while attending the HollyRod Foundation’s DesignCare 2026 Gala sponsored by American Airlines.
“He’s a man that runs an empire a mogul, and there’s already so much on his plate,” she continued. “So I think we balance each other out in the fact that we know our roles, and he’s amazing when it comes to all the support that we need as far as anything. If Zilly wants to go to the moon tomorrow, he’ll have NASA on board for us. We’ll figure it out.”
She added of her son, “Zillion gets the best of the best therapies and things like that because of this man. So I think the beauty is knowing each other’s roles and playing them to our strengths, and really just creating an amazing community and environment for Zillion to thrive in.”
De La Rosa shares twins Zion and Zillion, 4, and daughter Beautiful, 3, with Cannon. He is also a father to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 13, with Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, 8, Powerful Queen, 4, and Rise Messiah, 2, with Brittany Bell; Legendary Love, 2, with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice, 2, with LaNisha Cole; and Halo Marie, 2, with Alyssa Scott. Cannon and Scott’s son, Zen, died at 5 months old in 2021.

Cannon and De La Rosa revealed Zillion was diagnosed with autism in April 2024 and in honor of World Autism Day.
“Today our family recognizes World Autism Awareness Day which is beyond meaningful to us because our amazing 2 year old, Zillion, was recently diagnosed with ASD – joining the unique energy of others like Niko Telsa [Nikola Tesla], Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and Michael Angelo [Michelangelo] just to name a few dynamic individuals,” the pair captioned a joint Instagram post at the time. “Our beautiful boy experiences life in 4D and teaches us something new everyday!”
They continued in the caption, “His love, strength and brilliance light up every room he enters! We are blessed that God had placed such an amazing spirit under our guardianship and we have accepted this assignment wholeheartedly! On this World Autism Awareness Day, we extend our embrace to families worldwide, acknowledging shared challenges and championing understanding. Together, let’s create a world of acceptance and compassion.”
On Saturday, Cannon, 46, opened up to Us about the magical way his son sees the world as a result of his diagnosis.
“I tell you, he’s a superhero, man,” Cannon exclusively told Us. “He lives in a different realm. He sees things we can’t see. He communicates in a way that I’m just in awe every moment. I’ve never been so filled with joy.”
Cannon added, “Obviously, I got a lot of kids, but there’s a connection that when he and I are together that’s like no other.”
