Lake Bell and her new boyfriend, artist Rashid Johnson, went Instagram official for Halloween 2026, confirming their new romance.
“Happy Hallow-hard launch,” Bell, 47, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, October 31, alongside a selfie with Johnson, 48.
For the spooktacular holiday, Bell donned a black stole with a matching beret. Johnson, for his part, looked dapper in a classic charcoal-colored tuxedo.
Neither Bell nor Johnson have further addressed their whirlwind romance, which has already earned the approval of the actress’ celebrity friends.
“And lookin fiiiiiiiine on the take off!! ❤️,” Erinn Hayes wrote in the comments, while Reed Moreno shared a trio of heart-eye emojis.
Designer Gabriela Hearst added, “🔥HOT,” “COUPLE” and “ALIVE” in two separate replies to seemingly call Bell and Johnson one of the hottest couples alive.
Alice Evans, for her part, commented, “Holy hotness…❤️❤️❤️.”
Bell was previously married to Scott Campbell for seven years, welcoming two children together before the pair’s 2020 divorce. The now-exes have since remained committed to amicably coparenting their kids.
“I think great respect and communication is what is the key to coparenting,” Bell exclusively told Us in August 2022 of their post-divorce dynamic. “[We can] never think, ‘Oh, we had that one conversation that was good, and therefore, now we’re good for the rest of our lives.’ It’s an evolution, you know?”
Lake Bell is open about coparenting her two kids with ex-husband Scott Campbell — and that includes how the two navigate dating as single parents. Bell, 46, explained in an interview with Parents.com published on Monday, April 14, that since she and Campbell, 47, divorced in 2020, they have established rules about introducing their kids […]
She added at the time, “It’s a constant, it’s any rapport, but it’s, like, the most important rapport of my life. It’s for our children’s sake.”
Bell, who was briefly romantically linked with comedian Chris Rock in 2022, and Campbell also set boundaries for introducing their kids to new partners.
“Scott and I had parameters around it, and now we trust each other to decide when the time is right, but I generally don’t rush into it,” she told Parents.com last year. “If I’m still hanging out with someone five or six months in and they’ve shown that they care about meeting them, then OK. It can also happen sooner if they have their own children, because if the kids despise each other, it can’t go any further. You can’t glue these kids together.”
As for her post-divorce friendship with Campbell, the Chair Company star stressed that they were akin to “army buddies.”
“We went through the trenches together,” Bell added to the outlet. “And so we have respect for each other, sort of like army buddies. … We’re in each other’s lives no matter what, so we can resent each other for all the things or do something about it.”
Bell has not publicly shared whether Johnson, who shares son Julius with ex-wife Sheree Hovsepian, has met her family.
