Angelina Jolie just reminded everyone in New York City why the “rich mom” aesthetic refuses to go away. Spotted in Manhattan, she stepped out in a long, elegant winter coat that whispered old money and good taste in equal measure.
Her coat isn’t just a long coat — it’s the whole outfit. That’s the magic of the long winter coat. It elevates jeans or leggings into something that looks intentional. It makes a quick coffee run feel like a scene from a film. We found the look for just $34 on Amazon, proving you don’t need a New York City budget to look rich.

If you’ve been eyeing Jolie’s look and wondering how to recreate it without the celebrity price tag, the Coal2ToalPW long coat is a seriously close pick. The white version has that soft, slightly oversized trench shape with a long hem that falls past the knee, which is exactly the proportion of Jolie’s pick. At under $35, it’s almost suspiciously affordable for the look it delivers.
The long line design gives the illusion of a longer frame, but the secret is in your footwear. Add a little block heel for extra lift and elegance, and you’ll nail Jolie’s look to a T.
The lapels are structured enough to flip up against the wind, and the length works over everything from a slip dress to wide-leg trousers to your most beat-up jeans. Styled with a cashmere turtleneck and sunglasses, you’re one iced coffee away from looking like you have a brownstone and a standing lunch reservation.
Winter dressing can start to feel repetitive by February, but a coat like this is the kind of piece that resets your whole wardrobe. Throw the Coal2ToalPW long coat on over anything, and suddenly the outfit is handled.
