Season 5 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test has been losing recruits consistently just two days into the challenge — but the latest contestant to exit the show surprised viewers when he made the decision after refusing to poop outside.
NFL player LeSean McCoy, who previously thought he would make it far in the competition, quit during the Thursday, October 1, episode of the hit Fox series.
“We’re out here with little stuff like this. But in real life, I saw a big mosquito, just as big as this, and they were doing a lot of biting. When I woke up the next morning, I had so many bites on my back,” he exclusively told Us about the challenges. “On my first day there, we got into the jungle and the bathroom was outside. Now that was hard. Like, whoa, we gonna use the bathroom outside? So in my head, I said, ‘I gotta hold this thing in for as long as I’m here.’ That’s what I’m thinking.”
He continued: “When I looked into the bathroom, it really was just like a hole, some wood, a circle and a bucket. That’s it. And there was a big snake in there. I’m like, ‘Oh, hell no.’ So I said, ‘I’m not using the bathroom.’ They got snakes. I saw a king cobra.”
McCoy, 38, found the conditions to be the “hardest” part.
“Obviously the missions and tasks were hard, but it’s the stuff you’re not prepared for,” he continued. “I saw that stuff in zoos and on TV — I never saw those types of animals or creatures in person. That was scary.”
In Thursday’s episode, McCoy got into a conversation with his fellow recruits about bathroom use.
“I’m not s***ting outside,” he told the group. “I won’t s*** for three days or eight days.”
Others, however, were concerned about McCoy’s choice. Oliver Hudson asked the athlete about his game plan, adding, “What are you going to do? Suck it back in?”
Despite hoping to push through, McCoy’s visit to the restroom, which was out in the open, caused him to officially withdraw, saying, “I am not ready for all this thing. I am not taking no s*** here.”
McCoy then called the Directing Staff over to deliver the news.
“Staff, your bed is getting mosquitoes all night, but it’s cool. This stuff is great, but I am not s***ting outside,” he noted. “I am cool. I am not doing nothing else.”
McCoy wasn’t the only one with bathroom issues in Thursday’s episode. Hudson, 50, got in trouble after telling the DS he couldn’t kick off a challenge because he needed to go to the bathroom. He was then ordered to do 50 push-ups as punishment.
Elsewhere in the episode, both George Santos and Ruby Rose withdrew from the show for separate medical injuries and reasons.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 5 airs on Fox Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
