Machine Gun Kelly and ex-fiancée Megan Fox are finding their rhythm as coparents after closing the book on their “toxic” romance.
“MGK and Megan are done and only communicate about their daughter and coparenting logistics,” a source exclusively tells Us.
While the “Bloody Valentine” singer, 36, “will always love Megan and have a soft spot for her,” the insider says MGK “gave up on pursuing a romantic relationship with her several months ago.”
Fox, 40, and MGK (real name Colson Baker) have weathered many storms throughout their relationship, but their daughter, Saga, 17 months, is now their focus.
“They both know they have toxic tendencies and it’s much better this way,” the source says of their current platonic dynamic.
Us has reached out to MGK and Fox’s reps for comment.
Fox was first linked to MGK in early 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass.
Following her split from ex-husband Brian Austin Green in May 2020, Fox and MGK’s romance heated up quickly. (Green, 53, and Fox welcomed three sons, Noah, 13, Bodhi, 12, and Journey, 10, during their nearly 10-year marriage.)
Fox and MGK got engaged in January 2022 but never made it down the aisle, dating on and off until 2024.
The Transformers actress briefly reconciled with MGK before she announced she was pregnant in November 2024 with their first baby together. (MGK is also the father of daughter Casie, 17, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon.)
Fox and MGK, however, split for good ahead of Saga’s birth in March 2025.

One year later, a source exclusively told Us, “MGK has been trying hard to get back together with Megan, but she isn’t interested.”
The insider pointed to MGK’s choice to share photos publicly of their daughter as something that made Fox “very upset.”
“They had an agreement they wouldn’t share photos of their daughter,” the source said. “That was the last straw for Megan.”
In the months that followed, MGK has been spending time with Dakota Johnson.

“They are seriously dating and their relationship has moved quickly since they met at Taylor [Swift]’s wedding,” a source exclusively told Us on Friday, September 25, referring to Swift, 36, and Travis Kelce’s July nuptials at Madison Square Garden. “There was an instant spark and they have been keeping in touch, talking and FaceTiming every day for the last month.”
Us previously reported that the Verity actress, 36, had a low-key date with MGK at Swift’s Manhattan penthouse in early September.
Johnson was then seen in Italy on Tuesday, September 22, to support MGK as he walked in the Vogue World: Milano runway show during Milan Fashion Week.
“Dakota has a thing for musicians and is a hopeless romantic,” the insider shared. “Colson has this charm about him, which she was drawn to and she is really into him.”
