Disneyland fan spots ‘time traveler’ in trove of grandpa’s old park photos

Talk about being ahead of your time.

A woman digging through her grandfather’s vintage Disneyland snapshots was left utterly baffled after spotting a suspiciously modern looking parkgoer who appeared to have beamed straight into the 1960’s from the future.

Josie Weaver was reminiscing over her family’s treasured vacation archives when one shot outside New Orleans Square made her do a double take.

Cutting right through the center foreground is a sharp looking young man who looks far more ready for a weekend festival in 2026 than a stroll past the Pirates of the Caribbean in the Lyndon B. Johnson era.

While many of the men around him are dutifully outfitted in boxy short-sleeve collared shirts and slacks, this mystery man is strutting through in a snug, modern navy crewneck t-shirt, dark shades, and a crossbody sling bag.

“To me, he looked so different to everyone around him, especially with his haircut — it was like faded on the side,” Weaver told People.

Weaver made the bizarre discovery after her 84-year-old grandfather asked her for help selling an old camera he’d had tucked away for decades.

The pair unearthed film and enlarged the treasure trove of images on a projector.

Weaver posted a video of the Disneyland slide on TikTok on Aug. 25 — and has since racked up 2.5 million views.

Naturally, the internet weighed in.

Some agreed that Weaver’s grandfather had accidentally photographed a bona fide time traveler, alleging that “there’s a time traveling portal” at the Anaheim park.

Others offered a considerably less sci-fi explanation, arguing that he might have been European or a fashionable guy ahead of the curve.

“I hate to break it to you,” one person wrote. “But people did own shirts and sunglasses in the 60s.”

“As a vintage fashion enthusiast, I could see why you would say that but it’s definitely just a basic casual look for the time,” another added.

Weaver’s own family called her reaction “dramatic,” insisting they were simply looking at old photos and nothing more.

Either way, the strange snap provides a glimpse at Disneyland while the park was still relatively young.
