Semi-truck carrying hay catches fire on 210 Freeway in La Canada Flintridge; several westbound lanes closed

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. () — A semi-truck and its load of hay erupted in flames on the 210 Freeway, forcing the closure of several westbound lanes in La Canada Flintridge Friday morning.

The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. at Angeles Crest Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic log.

It’s unclear what caused the fire, but video from the scene showed crews working to extinguish the flames.

The CHP said the right four lanes would be closed until further notice.
