America is running to Dunkin’ for a giant bucket.
The New England staple is bringing back its 48-ounce Iced Beverage Bucket on August 7 for any last-minute summer trips or beach days. Thirsty customers can fill their massive cups up with any Dunkin’ iced coffee or Refresher to wet the whistle.
Each bucket is priced at just $12.99, which includes the cost of the beverage it is filled with.
Fans can only get them at stores that choose to participate, so be sure to call ahead before making the drive. In addition to quenching your thirst, the coffee giant has made an upgrade for even easier summer sipping.
This time, the beloved buckets will come with a custom bucket holder, designed to “hold a Beverage Bucket while fitting securely into a standard car cup holder.” The company got to work after an initial alpha market test revealed drinkers wanted Beverage Buckets on the go.
But java junkies must be quick because the buckets and holders will only be available for a limited time. And members got their chance as the coffee chain gave early access to loyal fans on July 29. Customers can score a boosted status by heading to Dunkin’ 12 times in a calendar month, according to the company.
Once folks have reached the coveted boosted status, members earn 12 points per $1 spent at Dunkin’ locations for three months. For those who need a bit of help deciding on what to put inside the colossal can, the Massachusetts-born chain offered up some suggestions.
One option is the Cherry Lime Rickey Refresher, a Black Cherry Refresher mixed with the chain’s new limeade for a “deliciously tart and refreshing beverage”, according to Dunkin’. Folks can also get their hands on the Pink Pineapple Sparkling Refresher: bright pineapple, raspberry and hibiscus flavors mixed with sparkling water.
For those looking for a java jolt, Dunkin’s Iced Coffee with Peanut Butter Swirl is also up for grabs. The drink comes with the classic iced coffee swirled together with peanut butter flavor and the dairy of your choice.
The re-up comes just three months after they were first introduced back in February. Where only two lucky states — New Hampshire and Massachusetts — were testing the product. The caffeine community went spastic where some drove 40 minutes just to get their hands on the massive silos.
In a TikTok, two Dunkin’ devotees posted their buckets filled to the brim with a refresher at an unspecified location, “We drove 40 minutes and went through a toll for this bucket.”
This time around, fans are gearing up to secure their giant goblets, taking to X once they heard the news. “Finally, a drink that matches my caffeine dependency,” a Dunkin’ diehard wrote.
Another brew believer wrote, “That’s not a drink anymore, that’s a lifestyle. My caffeine addiction just found its soulmate.” Another chimed in agreeing the giant goblet is necessary, “48oz bucket? Bro that’s not coffee, that’s a survival kit for the workday.”
