Amanda Batula is clarifying what her and West Wilson’s relationship status was during his In the City cameo after he and Ciara Miller made their spinoff debut.
“This was my friend,” Amanda, 34, said on the Tuesday, June 2, episode of the Bravo series, reflecting on her dynamic with West, 31, when he appeared on the show alongside Ciara, 30.
During the episode, the trio met up to discuss Amanda temporarily living in her own place amid troubles with then-husband Kyle Cooke. (The couple announced their split in January after four years of marriage.)
The scene was filmed in October 2025, when Amanda said West had been “really there for me.”
The cameras then switched to a May 5 confessional, showing producers asking Amanda point blank, “How did you feel about [West] when you were shooting this scene? Was there any inkling of a crush there?”
Amanda immediately denied that she and West were anything more than friends when the cameras were rolling. (The pair, who costar on Summer House, confirmed their romantic relationship on March 31. West, for his part, previously dated Ciara in 2023 and the pair were cozy throughout summer 2025.)
“I know exactly what people are going to think when they watch this scene. It’s bizarre but in this moment, these are my friends,” Amanda claimed during the May recording, referring to West and Ciara.
She alleged, “These are two very important people to me that have helped me get through this very weird time in my life and my relationship with Kyle. Like, I’m so happy right now.”

The cameras then jumped back to the October 2025 meeting, during which both Ciara and West were extremely supportive of Amanda getting her own place after struggling with her marriage to Kyle.
“Manders!” West yelled after spotting Amanda in New York City.
Amanda turned around, revealing she was “just checking your location,” speaking directly to Ciara, who had arrived with West.
“I always forget you have my location,” Ciara replied, which fans noted is even more interesting as Ciara claimed during part 1 of the Summer House reunion — which aired last week — that Amanda purposely turned off her phone location when she started to date West behind Ciara’s back.
During the In the City episode, West gave Amanda a big hug and kiss on the cheek as they greeted one another. He proceeded to put his hand on Amanda’s shoulder after she announced, “I’m moving out by myself.”
“How do we feel? Proud? Big step,” West responded, while Ciara admitted, “Damn, I have so many questions.”
Amanda gushed about both West and Ciara to the cameras, saying, “Ciara obviously has been my best friend for a few years now. Obsessed with that woman.”
She also gave insight into her dynamic with West, explaining, “West and I became really good friends this summer. He was there for me a lot of the Kyle stuff.”
Amanda added, “Recently, West and Ciara have become best friends again too, so I have my perfect little trio.”
Back to the October 2025 scene, the group walked to get something to drink and Amanda explained that she told Kyle, 43, that she was going to move out on their fourth wedding anniversary.
She insisted that they were “not getting a divorce” and that they were “not single.”
As Amanda detailed her big life change, West and Ciara shared a sweet interaction where he offered her his jacket, and Amanda smiled seemingly with joy over their rekindled relationship.
Amanda, meanwhile, claimed Kyle wasn’t “fully blindsided” because Ciara had spoken to him that summer about possibly taking some space in an effort to fix their struggling marriage.

Amanda noted that after Kyle came home at “eight in the morning” the other night she was confident in her choice to move out.
“In therapy or whenever you talk to him are you ever like, ‘Quit f***ing doing this or I’ll f***ing leave your f***ing bitch ass?’” West asked, to which Amanda said, “Yeah.” West wondered, “And then he, like, fully disregards?”
Amanda shrugged off West’s concerns before claiming that following West and Kyle’s recent hang, Kyle came home at “11:30 and fell asleep in the kitchen” even though he didn’t appear “f***ed up” when West left him around 10 p.m..
“It’s giving college,” Ciara said, to which Amanda responded, “He’s 43 years old.”
West alleged, “Not one moment ever, since I’ve known Kyle, has he ever shown signs of chilling out” with drinking. “I don’t see it stopping tomorrow.”
While Amanda claimed she was “more frustrated” with Kyle at the moment, her “intention” of taking time apart is “to get back to us.”
Four months after Ciara and West applauded Amanda for her apartment decision, rumors surfaced that Amanda and West were hooking up.
The pair confirmed their romance in late March, telling Andy Cohen on the Summer House season 10 reunion that they had their first kiss in “late February.”
During part 2 of the reunion, which aired on Tuesday, KJ Dillard’s girlfriend, Dara Levitan, also one of West’s exes, gave Amanda some advice about her choice to date him without running it by Ciara first.
“I just foresee him for a very long time wanting someone who will mold and fold and fit into his life without excuse or complaint,” Dara said of West. “It’s up to you to decide what’s worth breaking, sacrificing and losing for that kind of person.”
Part 3 of the Summer House reunion airs on Bravo Tuesday, June 9, at 8 p.m. ET, followed by an all-new episode of In the City at 9 p.m. ET.
