Bachelor Nation’s Alexe Godin Reveals She Was Sexually Abused as a Child: ‘Still Processing’

Bachelor in Paradise season 10 star Alexe Godin claimed that she was sexually assaulted as a child.

“I’ve always said if I were to have a platform that I wanted to use it for something that is meaningful,” Godin, 27, said in a TikTok video shared Wednesday, April 15. “When I was a child, I experienced sexual abuse by someone who was close to me.”

She continued, “It is something that I have processed on my own over the years and, truly, I am still processing. It doesn’t define me, but it’s definitely shaped how I see boundaries, trust and, honestly, also relationships. If this is something you’ve been through, just know that you’re not alone.”

Without detailing the alleged incidents, Godin explained that sharing her story is therapeutic.

Bachelor in Paradise season 10 couple Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer aren’t immune to facing disagreements in their relationship. “We both like to [argue] in a healthy way, like, we do like to bicker,” Alexe, 28, said on the Thursday, November 27, episode of the “Dear Shandy” podcast. “Because it’s, like, then we care.” Andrew, […]

“You obviously don’t have to do a video publicly like this for it to be valid, but everyone does heal differently,” she said. “For me, part of that is to be able to share and talk about it openly. If this is something that you’re dealing with, there are resources like RAINN that I’m going to link below. I’ve always wanted to use my platform for something that matters. If someone can watch this and feel less alone, then sharing was worth it.”

Godin shared a link to RAINN, the United States’ largest anti-sexual violence organization, in her caption.

Several of Godin’s followers and fellow members of Bachelor Nation offered their support in the comments section.

“This is so important,” Serene Russell replied. “Proud of you and thankful that you’re sharing your story.”

Susie Evans, for her part, added, “Alexe, [I love you]. Thank you for sharing and helping others feel not alone.”

Godin rose to fame on Grant Ellis’ season 29 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2025. The Canada native, who earned the first impression rose, was ultimately eliminated just before hometowns. Godin appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 10 later that year where she met now-boyfriend Andrew Spencer.

“We both like to [argue] in a healthy way, like, we do like to bicker because it’s, like, then we care,” Godin said on the “Dear Shandy” podcast in November 2025 about their relationship dynamics, noting they really only argue about finances. “In my head, I’ve always envisioned, ‘You don’t have to be responsible because you will find someone who will be the finance guy.’ I meet Andrew and he’s the same way as me, and I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh, we’re in big trouble.’”

Spencer, 31, later reassured Godin that they will be “fine.”

“We talk about the real issues, like, we’re not afraid to talk about it,” he explained. “She — trust me — will go down some alleys about how she feels about it. It’s just about investing. I was like, ‘Listen, I have a guy [and] I’m just making sure it’s the right time.’ She was like, ‘The right time is now. We need to be saving for our future.’”

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673).
