First-class passenger blasted for putting feet next to seatmate’s face on flight: ‘Come on people!’

First-class passenger blasted for putting feet next to seatmate’s face on flight: ‘Come on people!’

Talk about a first-class faux pas.

A high-flying passenger is getting dragged online after turning a luxury seat into a footrest free-for-all — and leaving her seatmate in front of her fuming midair.

The mile-high mess unfolded on Reddit, where user @ker9189 detailed the toe-curling encounter aboard an American Airlines flight, revealing how a woman behind them decided their armrest was prime real estate for her outstretched legs.

“First time experiencing the feet in my face in 5 years. Travel monthly. In first class and this lady put her feet on my arm rest, I shoved them off.”

The poster continued, “And 5 minutes later she has them up on her window. At least she has socks on. But come on people! It’s a 4.5 hour flight.”

Not exactly the kind of first-class upgrade you brag about.

According to the frequent flyer, the situation quickly escalated from annoying to absurd.

After initially knocking the woman’s feet off their armrest, the traveler said the offender simply … reset.

“When they were on my armrest, I turned around and asked her to move them, no response, so I aggressively put my elbow on my armrest,” they noted further in the comments section.

Message received? Not quite.

One American Airlines passenger sparked outrage after turning her luxury seat into a personal leg rest — and making her seatmate in front of her suffer midair. reddit/americanairlines

“She removed them. But they were put into the window two minutes later. She has since put her blind down and removed her feet, so maybe she has Reddit haha.”

Eventually, the airborne boundary-crosser backed off — but not before the post took off online, with commenters piling on to roast the brazen behavior.

The reaction was swift, with many users expressing outright disgust at the midair manners meltdown.

“Freaking gross. Ask her to move them and let the FA know,” one wrote. Another deemed the act to be “disgusting.”

Others zoomed out, blaming a broader breakdown in basic etiquette: “There is something wrong with people’s basic societal interactions in today’s world!”

Some kept it short and scathing. “That’s incredibly rude,” another chimed in.

Meanwhile, a few offered practical — if slightly confrontational — advice.

“Perfectly reasonable to stand up and say something. If there’s confrontation, that’s embarrassing for her, not you,” one user noted.

Of course, this being Reddit, others took a more… creative approach.

“Turn, fake sneeze, splash water on the feet with your hand. game, set, match,” one joked.

And one commenter delivered perhaps the most unhinged suggestion of all: “Just say, ‘Thanks, these feet pics will sell great on OnlyFans. Beautiful feet btw.’ ”

While legroom may be a luxury at 30,000 feet, common courtesy should still be standard issue, Redditors insisted. andyborodaty – stock.adobe.com

Speaking of sky-high foot drama, this isn’t the first time in-flight legroom hacks have ruffled feathers.

The Post previously reported on one enterprising traveler who sparked backlash last summer after showing off a DIY foot hammock — a midair “comfort hack” that critics quickly slammed as anything but.

In the viral video, she demonstrated how tired flyers could MacGyver a makeshift sling using the airline’s complimentary blanket — turning it into a cradle for their feet.

The setup was simple but controversial: roll up the blanket (or swap in a scarf in a pinch), knot it in the middle, then loop it over a partially extended tray table to create a stirrup-style footrest.

Passenger Nicole Lazo casually propped her feet up in the DIY hammock as if she’d unlocked the secret to stress-free flying.

But not everyone was ready to kick back and relax.

Critics quickly piled on, accusing the influencer of putting her own comfort ahead of everyone else’s.

“That’s a disturbance to the person sitting on that seat. Not nice,” one scolded, while another added, “The flight attendant should stop this kind of inconsiderate act. Unless they are paying for the front seat, too. Very inconsiderate.”

Others warned the hack could do more harm than good — especially to the plane itself.

As it happens, first-class leg-stretching drama is practically a recurring feature. diy13 – stock.adobe.com

“You can break the table with your weight/pull,” one cautioned.

Because when it comes to in-flight comfort, one passenger’s upgrade is another’s nightmare.
