Shooting suspect in custody after leading police on pursuit in Inglewood area

INGLEWOOD, Calif. () — A shooting suspect is in custody after leading police on a dangerous chase from South Los Angeles to Inglewood.

The chase started just after 3 p.m. near South Figueroa and 120th Street. The driver of a gray sedan maneuvered through traffic and even drove the wrong way through parking lots.

The suspect drove on surface streets through El Segundo before making his way to the Inglewood area.

The suspect eventually stopped in an alley near W. Rosecrans Avenue and Ardath Avenue in Inglewood where he surrendered to police.

It’s not clear if anyone was hurt in the alleged shooting.
