Some family members of singer D4vd are fighting grand jury subpoenas related to the death of a teenager who was found in his Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard.
D4vd’s mother, father and brother claim their rights are being violated, according to Texas court records.
On Monday, the court denied the family member’s petitions to overturn a lower court ruling that required them to comply with subpoenas to testify in California. They all live in Texas.
The matter will be taken up during another hearing on Feb. 24.
Singer D4vd is considered a suspect in the death investigation of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas-Hernandez, a source told Eyewitness News.
The body of teenager Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found inside the trunk of D4vd’s car in September of last year.
The Los Angeles Police Department has referred to the case as a murder investigation, and sources tell Eyewitness News the singer is considered a suspect.
