Kierra Taina Taylor: North Carolina woma charged for going 103 mph in snow, with child in car: Johnston County Sheriff’s Office

PRINCETON, N.C. — A woman was charged for driving over 100 miles per hour with a 1-year-old in the vehicle in snowy conditions in North Carolina.

A deputy pulled over a car on Saturday that he clocked at 103 mph in the snow on Highway 70 near Princeton, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said.

The speed limit in that stretch of US 70 is 55 mph.

The driver of the Chevy Impala registered a .33 blood alcohol content on a roadside test. An earlier post from the sheriff’s office said her blood alcohol content was .22, according to court documents.

The deputy also noticed a 1-year-old unrestrained in a child seat.

Family members came and got the child.

The driver, 24-year-old Kierra Taina Taylor, of Goldsboro, was taken into custody and charged with driving while impaired, speeding, reckless driving-wanton disregard, and child abuse — all misdemeanors. According to court records, she was polite and cooperative.

Taylor was taken to the Johnston County Detention Center. She was given a secured bond of $2,500.
