Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent is getting candid about her sexuality.
“I don’t believe in labels, unless you want them,” Kent, 35, said on the Friday, January 30, episode of her “Unlikely Affair” podcast. “I’ve hooked up with chicks before, [but] I don’t consider myself to be bisexual.”
While Kent acknowledged that other people might call her bisexual for occasionally being “sexually attracted to women,” she doesn’t self-identify with the label.
“I don’t believe in the label, I don’t think,” she said.
Kent has predominantly dated men during her years in the spotlight, including Randall Emmett from 2018 to 2021. Kent began seeing the producer, now 54, amid his separation from ex-wife Ambyr Childers.
“Once it was, like, you’ve moved on [and] found a new guy and I had met your kids, I did not sleep around at all,” Kent told Childers, 37, on the premiere episode of “Unlikely Affair” earlier this month. “Once I stopped sleeping with him, I was very pregnant.”
Kent, who gave birth to daughter Ocean in 2021, further revealed that she even used to think of Childers whenever she masturbated during pregnancy.
“I was so horny when I was pregnant, like, it was bad,” Kent recalled. “I would, like, look at the corner of things and be like, ‘If I could just launch myself [at it] just right.’ I remember I would go into the closet, [where] it was the only area where there wasn’t a direct camera on me, and I would think of you.”
The You actress approved of Kent’s confession, saying, “I f***ing love that. Do you know how much [joy] that brings me?”
Childers, who shares two daughters with Emmett, also identifies as straight but started thinking about sexuality in a new light after she watched Netflix’s The Hunting Wives.
“There was something that really captivated me,” Childers said. “Hunting Wives was so f***ing hot to me. I was like, ‘Holy s***.’”
When Kent asked if Childers wanted to hook up with a woman, the actress said she wasn’t “turned on” by the steamy series.
“It wasn’t that I was getting turned on, it was the connection I really value,” she explained. “Something that I haven’t had is real intimate connection.”
As for Kent, she was romantically linked to Don Lopez after her breakup from Emmett. Kent, who is now single, welcomed daughter Sosa in 2024 with the help of a sperm donor.
“I got my donor through the California Cryobank. Only 10 percent of women who go into the California Cryobank to seek out a donor because they want to do parenthood on their own,” Kent said on a March 2024 episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast. “There’s only 10 percent of people who, like me, who are like, ‘I just want a child and I need a donor.’”
While Kent admitted that “looks were probably the lowest on the totem pole” in choosing a donor, she still wanted her child to have the “same aesthetic look” as her family.
“The world is already tough when you come from a totally normal family,” she said. “I don’t want to make it any tougher for them.”
