Justin Hartley Sets ‘Smallville’ and ‘Arrow’ Reunions on ‘Tracker’ After Numerous Cast Exits

Justin Hartley is setting up his first onscreen Smallville — and Arrow — reunions with alums from both shows set to appear on Tracker following several cast exits.

Erica Durance, who played Lois Lane on the Superman prequel series, is set to star in an episode later this season. According to Matt Mitovich‘s Inside Line, the actress, 47, will appear in the March 22 episode as Laura, who is described as “a stuntwoman who brings in Hartley’s expert tracker Colter Shaw when her boyfriend disappears from a film set.”

Durance’s onscreen husband will be played by David Ramsey a.k.a John Diggle from Arrow. This marks several reunions for Hartley, 48, who played Oliver Queen in The WB series before the story of the Green Arrow was adapted again for The CW with Stephen Amell in the key role.

Since Tracker premiered on CBS in 2024, Hartley has found a way to stage crossovers with his former costars from projects such as Smallville and This Is Us. So far, Jensen Ackles, Jennifer Morrison and Sofia Pernas have appeared on the show after working with Hartley on other projects.

Justin Hartley‘s Tracker costars have often spoken about their experiences working with him before the hit CBS series lost three cast members ahead of season 3. After becoming a household name with roles in Passions, Smallville, The Young and the Restless and This Is Us, Hartley scored a major career success with Tracker. The show, […]

Tracker, however, has also dealt with its fair share of departures. The procedural faces changes when Robin Weigert exited the show after being a series regular in the first season. It was later confirmed that Abby McEnany and Eric Graise would be leaving the show as well.

Executive producer Elwood Reid previously teased more onscreen changes in the show’s future.

“I do think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve those characters — Randy or Reenie or Bobby — they’re not just people that just pick up the phone and go, ‘OK, here is the answer.’ That’s when the show is phoning it in,” he explained to Us Weekly in May 2025. “The challenge is when you got to learn about them, which I thought was interesting. That’s the challenge of the show is not having it fall into a formula.”

Reid noted that they didn’t want Tracker to “fall into complacency.”

“The only rule I really have of the show is each week Colter is going to come to a new place and there’s going to be a new case. How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, that’s all something that’s up for grabs,” Reid teased. “Meeting these [local] weird characters is something we’re going to try to do more of as the season goes on. Just Colter coming in and interacting with other characters. That’s fun to see Justin flex those muscles with really good guest cast members.”

Reid’s insight came before Kathleen Robertson and Mark Engelhardt were cast on Tracker in recurring roles. Robertson will play Maxine, who is described as “a successful attorney at a major firm looking to engage” Reenie in what “Maxine assures her is simply grunt work for an upcoming class action suit.” It quickly becomes clear, however, that “Maxine may have an entirely different game that she’s playing.”

Engelhardt, meanwhile, will play Emile Lang, who is “a man with his own moral code.” The newcomer is “cold, calculating and methodical,” per his character description.

Tracker returns to CBS Sunday, March 1, at 9 p.m. ET.
