Many Summer House fans noticed the writing was on the wall regarding the downfall of Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s marriage.
Cooke and Batula, who got married in 2021, announced four years later that they decided to “part ways as a couple.”
“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” the pair wrote in a joint Instagram statement in January 2026. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”
They continued, “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”

Amanda Batula Takes a Step Back From Loverboy
Nearly two years before announcing their breakup, Batula made waves when she left her position at Cooke’s Loverboy company. (Batula previously served as the creative and branding director of the beverage brand, stepping back from her own career in 2019 to join Loverboy full-time.)
“I’ve taken a slight step back for the sake of our relationship,” Batula exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2024. “I think that we were at a place where I would be frustrated about something happening on my end, and he would take it very personally,” Batula explained. “Or he’d complain about something that I approved, and I made a decision on, and I would take it personally. So it wasn’t great for our relationship.”
Working Through Challenges
Cooke and Batula exclusively admitted to Us in November 2024 that there were “tough” situations in their relationship.
“There’s a lot under the rug,” Cooke told Us, acknowledging he doesn’t always “handle things very well.”
As for Batula, she revealed how they worked to overcome any major hurdles.
“I mean, we’ve gone to therapy. We’ve worked on ourselves,” she said. “It’s very eye-opening getting to watch yourself back [on TV] and see how you handle different situations. So, we’ve learned a lot and have grown from it. … We’re still working on it.”
Facing a Rough Patch
Rumors swirled that Cooke and Batula were living apart, which they debunked on multiple occasions, before a source told Us in November 2025 the duo were navigating a “challenging time.”
“They are going through a challenging time,” the insider told Us, claiming Cooke and Batula were still “both committed to making the relationship work.”
Cooke and Batula then put on a united front at BravoCon 2025 that same month for the Summer House panel but didn’t hit the red carpet together.
Kyle Cooke Teases ‘In the City’ Spinoff With Amanda Batula
Amid Cooke and Batula’s joint BravoCon appearance, the network announced that they would appear on a new Summer House spinoff set in Manhattan. (Summer House is notably filmed at a summer rental property in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York.)
“I’ve always been an open book. Lindsay [Hubbard], Amanda — we wear it on our sleeves,” Cooke told Us in November 2025, teasing the new show. “It’s not always easy, but we try to show anything and everything.”
He continued, “You’ll get some business and pieces of the day-to-day that you don’t necessarily follow on Summer House and better glimpse into friendships and we have some friends that are a little ahead of us — friends with kids. There’s actually married couples on this new show, so it’s kinda nice being around people that have been through a bunch of life experiences.”
‘Summer House’ Season 10 Trailer
Ahead of the season 10 premiere in March 2026, Cooke and Batula’s marital issues were on full display in a first look video.
“You know what I actually think we have an issue with? Compatibility, chemistry, intimacy,” Cooke told his then-wife in a December 2025 teaser clip. “What about that s***?”
Elsewhere in the footage, Batula alleged that Cooke’s newfound career has meant he stays out all night — and at all hours. She even claimed that Cooke fell asleep at a fan’s house after a show and “came home at 6:30 in the morning.”
Fan Sleepovers
After the trailer’s bombshell revelations, Cooke issued a statement about sleeping at a fan’s house.
“There’s no excuse for staying out as late as I did, but I want to be clear that I did not sleep at a fan’s apartment,” Cooke told People in a December 2025 statement. “I was at an event that Amanda chose not to attend, which moved to a bar and then to an afterparty. I don’t use anything to keep myself wired, so I think I ended up falling asleep on a couch, and suddenly it was almost 6 a.m.”
He added, “Do I regret the situation? Absolutely. But that’s the truth and full extent of what happened.”
Batula subsequently reacted to the now-viral footage of Cooke partying with fans while drinking a Truly hard seltzer.
“Believe it or not this is not the night I was referring to,” she wrote via Instagram comment later that month underneath pics of Cooke dancing and drinking from a Truly can without saying more.
Celebrating the 2025 Holidays
Cooke shared family photos over Christmas in December 2025, though Batula wasn’t pictured in any of the snaps.
“Merry Christmas 🎄 & happy holidays to all! 🎅,” he captioned his post.
Batula, for her part, commented, “Where’s Amanda?”
Their Family Planning Timeline
After four years of marriage, Cooke and Batula weren’t on the same page about the right time to have a baby.
“I think it’ll be a situation where I’m just going to have to, like, trick him into getting me pregnant and then he’s going to thrive once it happens,” Batula jokingly told Us in April 2024. “If you ask him when he is ready, he’s always going to say no. I think Kyle has historically always felt that he needed everything lined up, [whether] it was getting married, getting engaged, getting an apartment. [With] everything, he’s always felt he needed to be 100 percent ready for [it and] prepared.”
Batula further claimed on Summer House season 9 that Cooke wasn’t ready to become a father just yet.
“I’m ready to have kids with someone who’s ready to have kids with me,” she said at the time before Cooke questioned whether Batula was ready herself.
Batula subsequently made it clear that having a baby should be on her “timeline” in an exclusive interview with Us.
“He’s gonna have to be on my page,” Batula told Us in May 2025. “If he could grow the baby, it could be on his timeline, but it’s happening in this body.”
Batula, who previously faced health and fertility challenges, also claimed that she and Cooke weren’t frequently talking about having kids.
“There was a lot of stuff on this season that was like, him wanting to be a father, and, like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but he’s having this conversation with other people, and not the person that’s supposed to carry his child,” she told Us. “So if he was actively [saying], ‘Hey, I want to have kids. Like, we should start trying to have kids,’ that would be different. That’s not a conversation that we’re having.”
