Desmond Scott is seemingly preparing to start a new chapter in his life after estranged wife Kristy Scott filed for divorce.
In a video shared via Instagram on Sunday, January 18, Desmond was seen placing various kitchen appliances and utensils inside the cabinets of a kitchen. After seemingly unpacking, Desmond went to the grocery store to pick up some produce.
At the end of the clip, Desmond was seen back in the kitchen and looking off into the distance for a moment before walking away.
“Back in the kitchen this week😏,” he captioned the post, adding in the comments section, “Also, I’ve read every message and yall have no idea how much ya boy love yall 🫶🏽🙂↕️.”
Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Kristy — who goes by Kristy Sarah online — filed for divorce from Desmond in December 2025. Kristy and Desmond, who tied the knot in 2014, are parents to sons Vance and Westin.
In her filing, Kristy cited alleged infidelity as the reason for their split, noting that there is no chance of reconciliation for the twosome. Kristy and Desmond would “soon stop living together as husband and wife,” the filing noted. Us Weekly reached out for comment at the time.
Desmond broke his silence on Kristy’s divorce filing on January 10 in a lengthy statement to Instagram.
“I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote at the time. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”
Desmond continued, “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been.”
Desmond went on to note that he made “choices” that he was “not proud of.”
“I took responsibility for those actions,” he wrote. “I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter in our lives.”
Kristy, meanwhile, has yet to publicly address her divorce filing or Desmond’s statement. She has, however, been active on social media. On Wednesday, January 14, Kristy alluded to her current living situation, writing via Instagram, “Same address.”
The next day, TMZ obtained footage of Desmond at a Houston, Texas, bar kissing a mystery woman on his lap. Us Weekly reached out for comment at the time. Us later confirmed that the woman in the video is 24-year-old Marissa Springer. (TMZ was the first to report.)
In the wake of Kristy’s divorce filing, some fans have speculated that the TikToker hinted at her split from Desmond in December 2025. At the time, Kristy shared a TikTok of her struggling to cook. Users pointed out that Desmond, who is a chef, tended to handle the cooking duties.
“She’s cooking and before he would do all the cooking so it makes sense,” one user wrote in the comments section, while another claimed, “I remember when she said she will never learn how to cook coz she married a chef…..now she is learning….it’s truly over.”
