Irvine police search for woman accused of stealing package, leaving Bible behind

IRVINE, Calif. () — It’s a package theft of biblical proportions – sort of.

The Irvine Police Department on Wednesday released video of a woman accused of snatching a package off someone’s doorstep and leaving a Bible in its place.

Footage shows the woman walking up to the door while holding the book. She then stoops down, grabs the package and walks away while leaving the Bible behind.

What makes the theft more ironic is police say the getaway car appears to have flame decals on the side.

Police said the unholy heist happened last month.
