ATLANTA () — The Los Angeles Rams mounted a furious comeback against the Atlanta Falcons but suffered a heartbreaking loss on Monday Night Football.
With seconds left in the fourth quarter, the Falcons hit a 51-yard field goal to beat the Rams 27-24.
The Rams found themselves down 21-0 entering halftime as its offense struggled. However, L.A. scored 17 points in the third, including on a blocked field goal that led to a 76-yard touchdown return from Jared Verse.
The blocked field goal changed the game’s momentum and put the Rams within striking distance.
L.A. tied the game at 24-24 in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua.
However, the Falcons ended up scoring the field goal on its last drive and its defense stopped L.A. one more time to seal the win.
