Welcome to “Europe Today” – Euronews’ daily live fix of European news and analysis. Coming up today – Vladimir Putin has said the outline of the US/Ukraine peace plan could serve as a basis to end the war in Ukraine – but Ukraine would have to give up territory. This as Hungary’s Viktor Orban plans a visit to Moscow for face time with the Russian President.

Originally from Belgium, she was previously chief commissioner of the Belgian federal police and now coordinates European efforts to crack down on major challenges, from drug trafficking to terrorism, cybercrime and human trafficking.
