It’s that time of year again. Trader Joe’s is practically overflowing with limited-edition pumpkin products, grown adults overuse the word “spooky,” and PSLs abound. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are getting into the spirit of it all, judging by their latest looks.
The duo looked positively autumnal on their New York stroll today. Lively looked pumpkin patch-ready in a plaid overshirt from Wax London the color of changing leaves (though, the green foliage behind her definitely didn’t get the memo) which she wore over a brown knit lace-up top. She paired her fall layers with a pair of light-wash distressed blue jeans, and her beloved platform Opening Ceremony Tasman Uggs. But her shoes weren’t the only standout accessory: Lively carried a caramel-colored Chanel flap with black netting from the 2011 resort collection.
Reynold, for his part, also looked to be getting into the fall spirit. He wore a denim chore coat over a white tee and cuffed navy trousers. He added a little pop of pizazz with his navy-and-white striped socks, which peeked out of his tan leather lace-up shoes. (Lively also opted for fun socks, wearing a pale green pair with her Uggs.)
Behold, the picture of fall dressing. What could make this image more autumnal, you may be asking? Jack-o’-lanterns for heads? Pumpkin spice lattes in hand? His-and-hers platform Uggs? Just a few ideas for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds to chew on ahead of their next outing.
