90-year-old man who crashed full-speed into Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company on Thanksgiving has died

LOS GATOS, Calif. — A 90-year-old man who crashed full-speed into a Northern California coffee shop on Thanksgiving has died.

Surveillance video captured the crash on Thanksgiving night.

The 90-year-old had to be extricated from the vehicle and hospitalized.

Police say he died on Sunday.

The Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company was closed at the time, so no one else was hurt.

The store was extensively damaged but has since partially reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, although police suspect alcohol may have been a factor.
