3 dead after multi-vehicle crash in Panorama City, Los Angeles

PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES () — Three people are dead and one person was trapped Friday night following a 3-car collision in Panorama City, authorities said.

The fatal crash was reported just after 9:30 p.m. in the 9300 block of N. Woodman Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department said a 35-year-old man was trapped inside one of those vehicles and was rescued by responding firefighters.

The trapped crash victim was taken to a local hospital by paramedics.

Three people died at the scene, LAFD said. Their identities have not been revealed.

AIR7 was over the scene as a large part of the street was cordoned off. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
