GLENDALE, Calif. () — As rain moved through the Los Angeles area on Sunday, the power was temporarily knocked out for thousands of residents in Glendale.
Hurricane Marie is churning out in the Pacific, bringing tropical moisture and high surf to SoCal. The region has been seeing widespread showers with pockets of heavier rain all day.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, the power went out at the studio in Glendale. According to the Glendale Power and Water website, two separate outages were affecting a little over 4,400 customers.
The first outage was reported at 5:16 p.m., and the second outage was reported at 5:18 p.m.
The power outage hit as rain picked up and showers soaked the area.
By 7 p.m., one of the outages had been restored. Still, over 1,100 customers were without power.
By 8:30 p.m., just a handful of customers remained without power, according to the map on Glendale Power and Water’s website.
