An Amber Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted during a carjacking in South Los Angeles.
SOUTH LOS ANGELES () — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted during a carjacking in South Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department says Marieny Calderon was abducted around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday during a carjacking at 49th Place and Figueroa Street.
The child was in the backseat of a vehicle that was running with the parents standing nearby, according to LAPD. That’s when a Black woman between 20 and 30 years old and wearing dark clothing reportedly got inside and drove off.
Marieny is described as 3 feet tall, 27 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, red shorts and pink and white shoes.
Law enforcement officials say she may be in a silver 2019 Toyota RAV4 with California license plate 9ETY017.
Anyone with information on Marieny’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 911.
