Season 13 of Below Deck is getting off to a chaotic start with chief stew Fraser Olender referring to a guest as a “shady bitch.”

During the Monday, October 19, episode of the hit Bravo series, the first set of guests departed Azul V with some complaints. They praised Chef Moe Vilomar‘s cooking but noted that the crew was acting as if they had never worked with each other before.

While the guest wasn’t wrong about the crew working together for the first time, Fraser referred to her comments as “shady” after the efforts they made to keep the group of guests happy. The tip still left the crew — and Captain Kerry Titheradge — thrilled.

Season 13 has Kerry and Fraser joined by alum Rainbeau de Roos. New crew members Chef Moe, Bosun Alex Wright, deckhands James Bishop, Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck and Jessenia Stidger and stews Kaylee Brown and Rosa Simms-Preston are also introduced.

Below Deck is returning for season 13 with new and old faces. Bravo released the first look on Monday, September 21, which featured Captain Kerry Titheradge front and center on motor yacht Azul V. He is joined by chief stew Fraser Olender and second stew Rainbeau de Roos, who both are returning to the franchise […]

Before the season premiered, Kerry spoke to Us about how the series will make franchise history with surprise changes.

“This season, we’re going to have some changes that I don’t think we’ve ever seen on Below Deck before,” Kerry exclusively told Us. “There’s definitely some changes. There’s gonna be some decisions made that maybe I may have to rethink — if I could rethink again — which way I went with.”

The captain was looking forward to seeing it play out.

“I’m excited to look back on myself and see how I manage the boat with hindsight in mind,” he noted. “I’m already seeing things in the first episode that I had no idea about. So off the bat, there’s already things that I’m excited to see myself.”

Below Deck and its spinoff series have never failed to bring the drama to Bravo fans everywhere since the franchise launched. The original series premiered in 2013, documenting the daily lives of crew members on luxurious yachts during charter season. With each season, the crew members’ personal lives have begun to cross over into their […]

Kerry continued: “This season, for me, it was such a different and unique part of the world. The Caribbean is lovely. I also did Norway, which was very exciting. But going into Thailand, it was a totally different experience. I really wanted to feel the place and they call it ‘the country of smiles,’ and the energy that you get from that country, it just reverberates for everybody. Everything comes from the top, right? So if I’m stressed and wound up and micromanaging and just not happy to be around, it kind of filters through the whole crew.”

Below Deck airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
