They should’ve treated them for terminal stupidity.

California influencers are being ridiculed online after they were filmed seemingly taking photos in an ambulance where a patient was receiving treatment.

The clip, which has blown up on TikTok and Reddit, shows a man in a white outfit seemingly posing on the emergency vehicle’s gurney with a cigarette in his mouth as his female accomplice snaps photos.

Nearby, paramedics are seen prepping a patient for transport.

The man poses in ambulance with cigarette as female accomplice snaps pics.

Appalled over the cretins’ obtuse shoot, a stranger approaches the opportunists and physically pushes them away from the scene, seemingly prompting them to protest.

With their route finally clear, responders load the patient into the ambulance.

Social media viewers were appalled over the ill-timed photo-op.

“Can we stop using the word ‘influencer’ and replace it with ‘dumbass’ or something?” suggested one Redditor.

The couple was quickly shooed away from the scene.

Another wrote, “It is the extra entitlement when they seem unfazed by someone on the stretcher trying to get in the ambulance, an emergency vehicle…”

The video also caught the attention of a TikTokker named @Daadi, who has become well-known on the platform for calling out influencers’ harebrained behavior.

Influencers take photos in an ambulance attending to an emergency in this undated photo.

“So after smoking inside of an emergency vehicle, and blocking the paramedics from transporting a patient, you have the audacity to argue with them when they ask you to move?” he spluttered.

He called the stunt an example of “peak influencer dystopia,” where the “entire world is becoming a stage for the most vapid people imaginable to perform on their phones.”

Along with being incredibly dumb, the ludicrous feat is also illegal.

Daadi provided a screenshot of California Penal Code section 148 (a)(1), which stipulates that anyone who delays or obstructs police or emergency workers from performing their duties can be slapped with a misdemeanour.

As a result, the perpetrator could have to pay a $1,000 fine or spend up to a year in jail.

However, despite being jaded by dodo-brained influencer antics, Daadi’s viewers deemed the insane stunt too outlandish to be true.

“Surely this has to be fake,” wrote one. “It has to be. For my sanity, it has to be.”
