Universal offers new daytime Halloween haunted house tours with the lights on

Those who think that Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is a bit too scary with all the lights off are getting a new option at the attraction this year.

Universal Studios announced its first-ever daytime add-on dubbed “Unmasking the Horror,” a daytime “behind-the-scenes glimpse” at the long-running horror-themed event.

The “Unmasking the Horror” tour will offer guests, “a closer look at the craftmanship that goes into Halloween Horror Nights.”

“The guided lights-on walkthrough offers unique insights into the creative process behind the ‘Sinners’ and ‘KILLceañera: Music by SLASH’ haunted houses with the opportunity to photograph within select designated areas,” the announcement added.

This is an add-on that will cost $20 on top of the theme park admission prices to get into Halloween Horror Nights.

While the “Sinners” house was announced back in May, the “KILLceanera: Music By Slash” house was announced on Tuesday as one of the final pieces to the event.

Other final additions to HHN include the Terror Tram starring Art the Clown from the popular “Terrifier” horror film series, the return of a house featuring the cult classic “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” and a new original house dubbed “Dead, Deader and Deadest.”

The Terror Tram will feature new music from the metal band Ice Nine Kills, which will put a, “dark twist on classic Christmas songs.”

It was also revealed that Art the Clown will also be lurking around the park outside of the tram, popping up in some most unexpected places.

The “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” haunted house is based on the beloved 1988 film of the same name, where fans will encounter this group of other-worldly murderous clowns.

“Dead, Deader, Deadest” is a new original attraction where fans will, “take a tour of an abandoned funeral home where disturbing acts once took place.”

The final new haunted house is “KILLceañera: Music by Slash,” which revolves around the quinceañera a teen girl named Lola.

She ultimately, “turns this rite of passage for fifteen-year-old girls into a festival of death to take revenge on everyone who wronged her.”

Iconic guitarist Slash composes an original score for the house featuring Spanish guitar and an exclusive song titled “15 Candles.”

Previously-announced attractions for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights includes an appearance by the Nikki character from the breakout horror hit “Obsession,” along with “Hackerz,” “Fortnitemares” and “El Circo de la Muerte.”

Other attractions include “Blood Bog,” “Murder of Crowz,” “Shriek of the Banshee,” and houses based on “Stranger Things,” “Hellraiser,” “Evil Dead Burn,” plus “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness.”

Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from September 3 through November 1.
