HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES () — An 18-year-old woman says she was viciously beaten, robbed and left unconscious after an attack caught on video inside a Hollywood 7-Eleven.

Destiny Valderrama said the attack happened after she left a quinceañera with friends and family last Friday night. Valderrama said a man and woman followed her from down the street before attacking her inside the store.

“As soon as I felt the tugs to my chain, I knew that’s what they were trying to get,” Valderrama told Eyewitness News on Friday.

Video of the incident shows a woman in a white sweatshirt grabbing Valderrama by the hair after an attack from behind sent her face-first to the ground. A man is then seen joining the assault.

“I kept begging them, like I’ll give you the chain just don’t hurt me, please don’t hurt me,” an emotional Valderrama said.

In tears, she recalled the intense moments.

“They just kept strangling me and shoving my head against the ground,” Valderrama said.

Valderrama said she lost consciousness after being struck in the head. She said her friends also were attacked while trying to defend themselves.

“When I woke up my friends were just really badly beaten up and they had told me everything that went down,” she said.

A still image from surveillance footage shows the man and woman Valderrama said attacked her and her friends.

Valderrama suffered bruising to her neck and arms. She said there had been no previous altercation with the assailants before the attack.

Afterward, Valderrama said she asked a 7-Eleven employee to contact police.

“I kept begging like please call the cops, please call the cops, because I knew that he served as a witness, so I was asking if he could be a part of the report, and he was just saying no,” she said.

The Los Angeles Police Department said no arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.

Eyewitness News contacted 7-Eleven and also attempted to speak with the store manager who did not comment.
