Would you like a side of mice with that?

Nothing can ruin a fine dining experience quite like little rodents scurrying around tables.

Unfortunately, that’s supposedly what happened at one of celeb chef Gordon Ramsay‘s restaurants — and how the wait staff handled the situation is even weirder.

Reportedly at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond, British Columbia, the shocking scene featuring little four-legged creatures was captured by a nearby diner and shared on TikTok in a now-viral video.

The video posted, without a caption, by user @j0792433 shows a nearly empty dining room with two little mice running in between tables, as wait staff in suits check out the situation, hopefully calling for backup.

Mumbled chatter is heard in the background of the clip, which has garnered almost 300,000 views.

“You guys got two,” a voice said as another chimed in, “Enjoy the free meal, guys,” insinuating the restaurant, located inside the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, would hopefully comp their meal for the unexpected show they received.

The Post reached out to the restaurant and the owner of the video for comment.

In the comment section of the video, some people were horrified, while others pointed out that this is a common experience, especially in Richmond.

“It’s Richmond you’d be hard-pressed to find a restaurant they doesn’t have them,” a comment read.

“I own a pest control company. This can happen at any time in any restaurant anywhere it doesn’t mean they’re dirty or they don’t have a clean kitchen,” another pointed out.

When a commenter asked if the restaurant comped the meal, the diner replied with a photo of their bill showing that they supposedly only received $100 off their very pricey meal.

Unsurprisingly, the video was shared on Reddit, where thousands also commented on the situation, many agreeing that sightings of rodents don’t have anything to do with a restaurant’s cleanliness.

“Some of the best restaurants in France have rats. I’ve even seen a documentary about a rat being the chef in one of them,” one pointed out.

“Rats are a never-ending problem for a lot of restaurants. You can do everything right, and still have to deal with them. It all depends on the age of a building, your neighbors, the neighborhood, and the region,” another wrote.

“The positive side is that the staff seem genuinely surprised. If they were like ‘Oh yeah, that’s Bill and Ted,’ that would be very concerning,” another joked but raised a great point.

A worker who experienced little critters in his place of work revealed that he and the rest of the waitstaff “were all taught to act surprised lol. ‘Twas just an old building.”
