MALIBU, Calif. () — Former Vice President Kamala Harris’ Malibu home had an unexpected and unwelcome visitor on Friday night.
A woman got onto the property around 10:30 p.m., but private security stopped the trespasser before she could reach the house, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, were not home at the time, according to a spokesperson for the couple.
Deputies gave the woman a warning and told her to leave the premises, according to the sheriff’s department.

The sheriff’s department said the Malibu Lost Hills substation will increase patrols in the area as a precaution.
“They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly,” Harris’ spokesperson told News.
